Fall Golden Hour Senior Portraits at Medfield State Hospital w/ Pepe
One of the last high school senior sessions I did for the class of ‘26, with Pepe 🧡
Working with Pepe was definitely a highlight for me. It was so cool getting to know her, and the sunlight that evening was everything I could’ve asked for ☺️
Rainy Cinematic Senior Portraits on Boston’s Longfellow Bridge w/ Leah
It started raining towards the end of this shoot with Leah. Thankfully, she was just as excited as I was to keep taking photos ☺️ and this is what we made!
Equestrian Senior Portraits at Horse SenseAbility Farm, Sherborn, Massachusetts
My favorite photos from Briseida’s senior session! Big thank you to @horsesenseability in Sherborn for accommodating us 🤎
Senior Portraits at Medfield State Hospital w/ Genevieve
A lovely photoshoot with Genevieve in honor of her starting her senior year of high school!
My job is already quite enjoyable, but this afternoon was especially easygoing. After we got the essential portraits, Genevieve, her mom, and I roamed the grounds of Medfield State Hospital. Genevieve even showed me how to identify the different types of glass in the building's windows! I love working with seniors who teach me something new through sharing their interests and passions :)
Golden Hour Senior Portraits at Medfield State Hospital w/ Olivia
Olivia’s shoot was wrapped in that soft golden light that makes everything look so dreamy. Can’t wait for this weather to come back soon 🌞
My Approach to Natural and Artistic Senior Portraits
In the 7-8 years that I’ve been working with seniors, I’ve learned that there’s a graceful balance between observation, creative direction, and play.
If you want the results to feel genuine, you can’t apply the same formula to every person you work with. Sure, there are techniques you revisit that ultimately add up to your signature style, but I like to believe there are compositions and “happy accidents” that simply fall into place when you work with a person. Their character, body language, the conversations you share in between photos, and the unpredictability of nature & light serve as guides when you grant them the attention they deserve. Medfield State Hospital is one of those locations I’ve shot at hundreds of times, and yet there’s never a shortage of perspectives to discover — as long as I open myself up to the overlooked and unplanned.
Golden Hour Senior Portraits in Boston w/ Laila
Some golden hour portraits with Laila this past fall 🌞
Senior Portraits at the Boston Public Garden w/ Lena
My favorites from Lena’s senior session last fall!
On 35mm & Digital: Fall Golden Hour Senior Portraits at Medfield State Hospital w/ Sara
I always look forward to working with seniors who book my Ultimate Experience package! Sara was one of them 🌟
We had 2 hours to shoot together at Medfield State Hospital on this early October afternoon. That time range — especially close to sunset — allows for a variety of light conditions! I was able to create a mix of portraits ranging from direct sun, soft backlit, to the super dramatic orange light known as “golden hour.”
Senior Portraits at Borderland State Park w/ Caroline
One of my favorite things lately: taking at least one portrait with direct sunlight at my senior sessions 🌞
Senior Portraits at Medfield State Hospital w/ Jaxon
So many favorites from Jaxon’s senior session! Ft. Felix 🐕
Boston Theater District & Public Garden Senior Portraits w/ Anna
My favorites from Anna’s senior portrait session! We started at the Boston Public Garden, walked through the Boston Common, and ended with some night photos in the Theater District.
Dreamy Senior Portraits at the Boston Public Garden w/ Fiona
I’ve gotten very lucky this year with so many seniors who’ve specifically asked me for dreamy portraits. Fiona was one of those seniors! 🌟
Midday Senior Portraits at the Boston Public Garden w/ Maya
My favorites from Maya’s senior session 📚🌳✨
Cinematic Golden Hour Senior Portraits at Medfield State Hospital w/ Daniella
If it weren’t for the obvious greens, you probably wouldn’t know that we shot these portraits in the middle of August. (They feel more like early fall to me!) Daniella looked effortlessly cool though, and I loved her outfit choices 🌟
On 35mm & Digital: Blue Hour Senior Portraits at Nantasket Beach (Part 2)
Part 2 with Laurianny 🌊
Some thunder and lightning started to roll in during the last half hour of our shoot, which gave us such a cool blue-hour sky!
On 35mm & Digital: Cinematic Senior Portraits at Nantasket Beach (Part 1)
This is, without a doubt, one of my favorite sets of senior portraits I’ve ever delivered 🩵 — so much so that I’m splitting up my posts into two parts. Here’s part 1!
I hadn’t done many beach shoots until this year, but I really enjoyed trying something new! I always say that some of my favorite locations are the ones I’d never been to before, and that’s because they motivate me to rely less on muscle memory and more on perception. The fact that Laurianny added film to her shoot and was looking for a more cinematic look in general also made this experience a memorable one :)
