7 Years of Adriana Arguijo Photography!

This week marks 7 years of my photography business! 📷🎊

Although photography has been my primary art form since I was old enough to hold a camera, December of 2016 was when I formally put myself out there by making a website and Facebook page for my brand :)

Anyone who’s asked me about my background knows that being a business owner was never my younger self’s intention, until I had been documenting events around town for a while and began hearing from friends, neighbors, and classmates who wanted me to photograph their most important moments. Connecting with people and capturing their essence became my passion <3

On top of managing my business (which grew busier each year), I was a full-time student up until my college graduation this past spring. I can’t lie… it was exhausting some of the time. But my drive to create and share my art kept me going. From a young age, I’ve been sensitive to the essence of every new person and place I meet, and I remember feeling an insatiable need to preserve it before it was gone. While it’s less urgent now, much of that feeling remains today, and it’s taught me to appreciate the present moment so much more.

With each shoot I learn something new — about the people and spaces I photograph, about the art form, or about myself — and that’s thanks to everyone who’s encouraged me and trusted my vision. Thank you x100!

I’m so excited to see where this post-grad chapter takes me ☺️
