ABOUT ME

Welcome!

My name is Adriana Arguijo Gutierrez (they/she), I’m 25 years old, and I’m an award-winning and published photographer based in Eastern Massachusetts.

While I officially created my business in 2016 as a sophomore in high school, I’ve been photographing ever since I was old enough to hold the family camera. I’ve always considered myself a deep-feeling person with an undeniable love for meeting new people and connecting with the world around me. Aiming to translate that feeling is what compelled me to pick up a camera in the first place.

Creating artistic representations of people is my strength. Capturing the lively essence of human connection and making my clients feel comfortable is so important to me! I’m here to document the joy, the fire, the laughter, the peace, and every prized moment in between.

HOW IT ALL STARTED

HOW IT ALL STARTED •

FROM PASSION TO PROFESSION

  • On December 4th, 2016, I decided to create a website and Facebook page for my photos under the name “Adriana Arguijo Photography.” I was a sophomore in high school at the time. This is when I really started to share my work with the world.

I photographed at least one event at school per week, often lugging my camera bag from class to class ~just in case~ an opportunity came about. I quickly learned how rewarding it was to make my perspective known. Teachers, classmates, and friends would tell me how cool it was to re-experience the pep rallies, dance recitals, and football games through someone else’s eyes. Those words meant the world to me. And though I still felt misunderstood at times, I saw that my work had a positive effect on those around me. I was helping people view the ordinary as something extraordinary.

  • Fast forward 10 years, and I’ve now done over 700 portrait sessions and covered 400+ events. Clients are seeking out my work for the qualities I once believed were too unconventional, and I am so very grateful for that. Collaborating with people who appreciate my process is very special to me. It pushes me to keep engaging with the world, not solely as a portrait & event photographer, but as a more attentive human being <3
